Treatment of phenol wastewater by Fenton reagent has good effect,but the large dosage of Fenton reagent caused high treatment cost,therefore,this technology has not been widely used.In recent years,enhanced Fenton reagent,reducing the treatment cost has become one of the hot topic at home and abroad.The ultrasonic vibration and the micro jet can play a role of mixing and mass transfer,which can make synergistic effect with Fenton reagent,not only can reduce the dosage of Fenton reagent,but also shorten the reaction time.Taking Fenton reagent as the main body,set the phenol wastewater as the research object,aim to study on the ultrasonic/Fenton process.The static experiment was applied mainly to study the treatment effect,the reaction rules and influence factors of H2O2,Fenton,ultrasonic,ultrasonic/H2O2,ultrasonic/Fenton,ultrasonic/Fenton/activated carbon process on phenol wastewater.And the strengthening effect of ultrasonic on Fenton reagent,the role of active carbon in ultrasonic/Fenton/activated carbon process,and the synergistic reaction of ultrasonic,Fenton reagent and activated carbon,and also the optimal conditions of ultrasonic/Fenton/activated carbon process.The treatment of H2O2 oxidation on phenol wastewater was not effective,the removal rate of phenol was only about 10%.Adding FeSO4 · 7H2O in H2O2 formed the Fenton reagent,the removal rate of phenol and COD increased greatly.When the pH value was 3,the reaction time was 30min,FeS04 · 7H2O dosage was 800mg/L,the dosage of H2O2 was 1.5Qth,the initial concentration of phenol wastewater was 50mg/L,the treatment effect of phenol wastewater was the best.Even Fenton reagent has good treatment effect,but the dosage leads to high cost.The effect ultrasonic and ultrasonic/H2O2 process on phenol wastewater was not ideal,but combination of ultrasound and Fenton reagent is ideal.When the pH value was 3,the reaction time was 60min,FeSO4 · 7H2O dosage was 800mg/L,the dosage of H2O2 was Qth,initial concentration of phenol wastewater was 50mg/L,the treatment effect of phenol wastewater was the best.It was proved that the ultrasonic/Fenton process can increase the removal rate,reduce the dosage of Fenton reagent,and slao shorten the reaction time.Activated carbon was added in ultrasonic/Fenton process for treatment of phenol wastewater:When the pH value was 3?5,the reaction time was 60min,the dosage of activated carbon was 40g/L,the dosage of FeSO4 · 7H2O was 800mg/L,the dosage of H2O2 was Qth,,the initial concentration of phenol wastewater was 50mg/L,the treatment effect of phenol wastewater was the best.The orthogonal test determined the effect of each factor from strong to weak:the dosage of FeSO4 · 7H2O,the pH value,the dosage of activated carbon,the dosage of H2O2,reaction time.The optimum conditions were:the dosage of FeSO4 · 7H2O was 800mg/L,the pH value was 3,the dosage of activated carbon was 30g/L,the dosage of H2O2 was 0.5Qth,,the reaction time was 30min.When the dosage of H2O2 was Qth,the dosage FeSO4 ·7H2O was 800mg/L,the dosage of activated carbon was 20g/L,the reaction time was 30min,the pH value was 3,the removal rate of phenol reached 99.03%,the removal rate of COD can reach 90.91%.And validate the catalytic action of activated carbon and synergistic reaction of ultrasonic,Fenton and activated carbon in ultrasonic/Fenton/activated carbon process through contrast test.The treatment of Ultrasonic/Fenton on phenol wastewater is very good,Under the same conditions,the removal rate of phenol and COD increased about 7%than Fenton reagent,not only improve the treatment efficiency,and saves the dosage of Fenton,reduce the cost of reaction,which provides a theoretical basis for practical engineering application of biodegradable industrial wastewater treatment by Fenton.At the same time,the treatment of ultrasonic/Fenton/activated carbon process on phenol wastewater is an effective method.
