Perfect and reliable ventilation system is an important basis to do well "one ventilation and three prevention" of mine, and an important premise to ensure the safety production of coal mine. It can provide the safety guarantee for preventing gas and fire accidents by constructing a reasonable ventilation system. Simultaneously, it also has important practical significance for improving the mine ventilation system's ability of resisting natural disasters.In this paper, through carrying on the systematical surveys to Yangquan No.5 coal mine, the tested data were technically analyzed and processed based on the detailed measurement, and the intelligent management system of ventilation was constructed for Yangquan No.S coal mine. The simulation model of mine ventilation system was established for Yangquan No.5 coal mine. The mine ventilation system was calculated and analyzed by utilizing the intelligent management system software of mine ventilation. The simulated results showed that the main problems of ventilation system currently existing in south mining area had large resistance in the wind inlet section, more ventilation buildings, larger ventilation resistance in local place of roadway and restricted obviously each other between the intake and return shaft. By comparing analysis and optimization adjustment of the ventilation system scheme, based on the comprehensive analysis and study of various factors, the scientific and reasonable technical transformation scheme of mine ventilation system was put forward. There was gentle breeze at local place of North haulage roadway while the intake air quantity of 2# inclined shaft was 168m3/min-2500m3/min. Based on the comprehensive testing and simulated results, the north haulage assistant roadway at 520 level would be re-channeled to increase the intake air quantity of 2# main inclined shaft and decrease the ventilation resistance of North mining area. The results showed that the ventilation resistance in north mining area would reduce 466Pa and the air velocities of other roadways reached the standard of Mine Safety Regulation while the intake air quantity of 2# main inclined shaft was 2486m3/min by re-channeling 62m north haulage assistant roadway at 520 level. After implementing the optimal scheme, the effect of reducing resistance was obvious and the measured air quantity of main roadways were basically anatomist to simulated data. The adjustment and alteration scheme was easy and feasible, and meted the production requirement. It not only effectively reduced the ventilation resistance of Yangquan No.5 coal mine, but also improved ventilation condition of north district. And the good economic and social benefits were obtained.
