Although the demand of high-tech steel products is not met in recent years, many traditional steel products'sales have become decreased continuously. Such steel market leads to that total steel price is continued to plunge and that steel industry' profit is very low. Base of lastly bad market and increasingly competition, steel companies, for surviving in the competition, have to take some measures to enhance self-competition, to improve technology and to boost the level of products.The quality of Flat steel, main product of Ansteel 2150mm Hot Rolling Production Line (AsHRPL), is primarily decided by mechanical property which mainly affected by cooling temperature after rolling. AsHRPL adopted traditional layer-flow cooling control system and such system has disadvantages such as low-cooling-effect and low percent of meeting temperature target, so, AsHRPL has to replace traditional layer-flow cooling control system by the Ultra-fast Cooling technology, the core technology of TMPC(Themo Mechanical Control Process).Based on AsHRPL, this article makes deeply theoretical research on Ultra Fast Cooling system and its development at home and aboard. Collecting manufacturing data comprehensively and analyzing disadvantages of traditional layer-flow cooling control system, we cooperated with RAL(The state key laboratory of Rolling and Automation) to replace cooling control system after rolling. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1) According to the condition of actual production and equipment,analyzing the factors of influencing the the temperature of cooling after rolling,studing the subject of Heat-transfer and understanding the equation of stean-boltzmann,designing control model of temperature of cooling after rolling of suitable for 2150mm production line,and participate in temperature model is used to calculate the average temperature calculation model.The redefinition and reclassification of TypelD of the mathematical model,which lay a foundation for accurately control the temperature of cooling after rolling.(2) According to the practical requirements to product, designing the overall structure of Ultra-fast Cooling control system,determining the basic idea of cooling control,and designing the functionless module including Pre setting calculation module,correction setting calculation module speed feedforward control module, the CT feedback control module and self-learning calculation module.(3) Establishing the network communication between with Ultra-fast Cooling server (UFCL1, UFCL2) and the existing production system server (FML1, FML2).The development of basic automation makes control system can collect and precess data,control cooling water accurately,track the strip steel of cooling on line,monitor real-time and so on.(4) Ultra Fast Cooling system has be applied in the actual peoduction,and has be debugged.Making the model and the model parameters optimizing,adding the alarming function in the HMI system and so on. Getting good resylts in the practical application makes the ratio of the temperature at ±20? is 90%, and making progress in the development of new steel,rolling X90,DP600 successfully.The echanical properties of new steel can both reach the standard requirements.
