Water surface evaporation is one of the basic elements of water resources evaluation, hydrology research, water conservancy project design and climatic regionalization, and it is also the basic reference data for the study of land surface evaporation. Although there are many measuring instruments, the data of the traditional manual measurement method is largely artificial, and the workload is large and limited. And existing automation evaporation test instrument such as evaporation ZFH type, magnetostrictive type test instrument, restricted to a liquid level sensor accuracy is insufficient and evaporation measurements of complex environment factors, widespread accuracy cannot meet the requirements of national standard, and automation function is not perfect defects. Demand for automatic accurate measurement of evaporation, this study through the design and realization of water level compensation type evaporation tester, effectively achieve evaporation measurement accuracy compared with the existing methods significantly improved and unattended evaporation measuring and monitoring.In this paper, the specific size of the evaporator and the composition of the material are designed by analyzing evaporator design requirements. The work flow of automatic evaporation measurement is analyzed, and the scheme of automatic monitoring and water supply system is designed. The hardware circuit of the system is designed under the above scheme, including the liquid level detection circuit and the automatic water supply circuit. Finally, the GPRS technology and Android technology are used to design the remote monitoring client, and to realize the measurement and monitoring of the evaporation.On the basis of the above work, the measurement experiment of the evaporation of the water level compensation evaporation measurement system is carried out. After measuring a set of daily evaporation data, the experimental data measured by the system and the data were compared, and the error was within a reasonable range, which verified the feasibility of the system design.
