The dynamic changes of land use are currently one of the most important research direction of domestic and foreign researchers. The analyses of regional land use changes are important parts of IGBP and IHDP. The modern technology RS and GIS provide a powerful way to master the land use changes, which is fast, accurate and dynamic. Analyzing the driving force that leads the changes of land use is the foundation to know how and why the land changes. Meanwhile, this research offers a theoretical basis to forecast the land use changes in the future and make scientific and effective land use policy.This research use ArcGIS 10.2 to analyze the land use changes of Wuhan Dongxihu district from 2002 to 2014, analyzing the driving forces that lead these changes and providing advice due to the problems that existing in land use. Basing the land use data of Dongxihu district from 2002 to 2014, analyzing the changes of land use changes through the following research ways:the changes of land use structure, land use dynamic changes index and land use transportation situation. Stating the driving force analysis method, telling the driving forces that lead the land use changes in natural and social factors. With the data of land use changes and social economic statics data, basing the SPSS operation platform, making research of how land use changes by principal component analysis (pca). At last, Summarizing the land use changes situation of Dongxihu district from 2002 to 2014 and the characteristics of different land types’ changes. Then providing some advices on how to use land resources scientifically and effectively. Due to the shortcomings in this research, making some improvement measures in the following study.
