Chengdu SP Company is a high-end company focusing on electronics and information industries. Its main businesses include RD, manufacture, sales and engineering services about maritime electronics products. Since 2001 when it was established, SP Company has been growing fast at a very high speed. Under such a good situation, SP Company meets medium-sized trap on growth-up so that it’s necessary for SP Company to make a breakthrough through modifying development strategies and improving internal management level. Thereby, executives in SP Company timely put forward the plan on production management information system to improve the production operation level and then enhance the competitiveness of company in the market.In the dissertation, the author makes production management information system as object of study, and comprehensively utilizes Critical Success Factors(CSF), Strategy Set Transformation(SST),Business Systems Planning(BSP) to plan the production management information system for SP Company.In the dissertation, the author takes marketing analysis on Chinese maritime electronics industry and market environment analysis surrounding SP Company as starting point. The author analyzes existing major problems on administration of SP Company and adopts CSF, SST and BSP planning methods to project the system structure. On this foundation, the author takes overall system planning. Later on, the author expounds the system implementation strategic analysis on self-development OR purchasing system from outside expertise companies, the route selection on upgrading existing materials management system OR developing brand-new information system and software company selection and other implementation plans. Then, the author deduces the implementation plan on adopting outside expertise companies to develop completely new production management information system. At last, the author carries out the benefit forecast and feasibility analysis on production management information system to provide reference for final decision-making.Through this planning process, the author provides SP Company some instructions on production management informationization, improves the scientificity and feasibility of production management information system. Meanwhile, it provides valuable references for middle- and small-size companies like SP Company, on planning the system of production management informationization.
