The Research On Logistics Cost Control In Hengshui Jiheng Chemical Co., Ltd

With the rapid development of modern science and technology and the enhancement of economic globalization, logistics in developed countries, such as US, Japan and European counties, has entered into a relatively mature stage and has become the trend-leader of the world. In China, the overall scale of logistics has been expanding and service level of logistics has been improved since the beginning of 21 st century. While compared with developed countries, the general management level of logistics cost is relatively poor. This leads to high logistics cost, which affects the competitive power and economic benefits of enterprises. In the youngest prefecture-level city of Hebei province, i.e. Hengshui, the same problem exists in the development of logistics fields, especially for pillar industry and characteristic industry. In order to realize rapid growth and leaping development of Hengshui economy, certain measures should be taken to solve the above problems accordingly.In this thesis, firstly, the author elaborated the background, purpose and significance of logistics cost control research. Research status of logistics cost control at home and abroad has also been introduced in this part. Secondly, the author summarized the research results of logistics cost control theories. The status of present logistics cost control in China and the existing problems in the field have been analyzed in this part. The author has put forward a solution to optimize the warehouse cost and transportation cost, together with a security measure to ensure the application of the solution. Lastly, the author took local Jiheng Chemical Co., Ltd as an example, and put forward an optimization plan towards warehouse cost, transportation cost, and logistics cost calculation based on the analysis of its logistics cost control status and existing problems. After practical test, by analyzing the test result, the optimization plan has been proved effective in decreasing logistics cost and increasing profits of enterprises, which will also contribute to the economic growth of Hengshui.
