The Analysis Of Agricultural Modernization Of Domestic Regions With Developed Economy

Agriculture, as one of basic industries, has gained much focus from all walks of life. Meanwhile, agricultural modernization, which is the evitable course of agricultural development, has become a hot issue. This article analyzes Jiangsu’s agricultural development level and intends to provide constructive suggestions for it by using qualitative and quantitative methods.First of all, there is the literature review of related researches and papers from the aspects of domestic and foreign analysis, followed by the explanation of the concept and characteristic of agricultural modernization. This paper then analyzes different agricultural modernization paths of U.S., Japan, France as well as China mainly from three angles:the road, the organization mode and financial system, and extracts three major paths of agricultural development, individually known as the mode of America, Japan and France. The following part presents researches of the agricultural development level of Jiangsu and its prefecture-level cities using the datum from Jiangsu Statistical Year Book through the improved evaluation system. The results indicate that the overall agricultural development level of Jiangsu from 2000 to 2013 is rising continually while there are remarkable regional differences:its southern region precedes the central region and the central region overmatches the northern region; the difference between the southern and the central part is not obvious while there is the problem of polarization between the southern and the northern region. Finally, this article puts forward suggestions for the agricultural modernization of Jiangsu and its three major regions based on conclusions from the qualitative and quantitative analysis above:first of all, from the overall perspective, Jiangsu should conduct reforms in the fields of scope, organization and financial system. Meanwhile it should also focus on the acceleration of land circulation and the perfection of agricultural service system concerning the reality of its agricultural structure and economic development; second, from the angle of three major regions, southern region could learn from the agricultural development patterns of Japan and France focusing on precision agriculture and the northern region could take example of America considering large-scale agriculture with high level of mechanism while the central part could choose freely based on its own condition.
