As a management information system between the top ERP and bottom PCS,manufacturing execution system can effectively improve the management of manufacturingprocess, reduce production cost and increase production efficiency. It is gaining more andmore attention to manufacturing enterprises. MES implementation involves content,involving a wide range, is a complicated systematic project, the implementation ofscientific methods for ensuring the smooth implementation of the MES is important.Through the collection of literature, summarized the key factors that may affect theimplementation of MES factors, combined with the process of Cold rolling plant of HanSteel MES implemented in the form of a questionnaire survey to identify them. Further dataanalysis, regression analysis, validation of the original model, we reached a critical successfactor model. This model includes6critical success factors: Support for corporateexecutives, User involvement, Developers capability, Staff Training, Sufficient investment,Project Leader skills and experience.Based on empirical research conclusions, analyzes the success factors to Cold rollingplant of Han Steel MES implementation, the author attempts to summarize the criticalsuccess factors and right methods that will smooth the implementation and application ofMES system in Cold rolling plant of Han Steel and in others enterprise.
