Inbound logistics is considered to be the most complicated and technicaloperation in the automobile logistics system,good organizations of inbound logisticscan help automobile manufacturers not only raise their logistics level, but also maketheir business unique and stand out from the competition in the global car market.Therefore during the recent years inbound logistics is generally focused by academyand industry. However,Because of the huge number of variety auto parts, thecommunications between the supplying and demanding sides are very difficult. So thecurrent inbound logistics system of our country can’t meet the market demand ofmodern automobile industry competing. In order to shorten production cycle, reducecost, and increase the flexibility of the supply chain, research on the management ofinbound logistics is imminent.In this paper, based on enterprise management, logistics engineering and otheraspects of knowledge, in line with to apply theory to practice, combining with thetheoretical analysis and the quantitative analysis, all kinds of the inbound logisticsmodels is discussed, different classifications are proposed for different parts of theinbound logistics models. And the problem of integrated inventory-transportation theMilk-Run operation model is studied in the paper. The main research contents are asfollows:Firstly, several inbound logistics modes such as door to door delivery, milk-run,supply hub are mainly analyzed and compared, then the main points and difficult forthe implementation of milk run are proposed.Secondly, based on the analysis of different inbound logistics modes, thenecessities of classification for parts and components according to its characteristicsare pointed out. The selection of inbound logistics modes is influenced by amultiplicity of different factors, the fuzzy clustering analysis Index system of partsand components classify are set up. At last a fuzzy-system hybrid clustering methodis adopted.Thirdly, in order to solve benefit deviation relationship between inventory andtransportation, a multi-period model for auto parts inventory transportation integrated optimization are established based on milk-run mode by considering restraintconditions such as vehicle capacity, mixed time window and so on,Finally, the mathematical model is applied to the problem of organizations ofinbound logistics in an automobile manufacturing company with MATLAB software,then the optimal inventory and transportation strategies in each cycle period aredetermined.
