The Study Of Operation Mechanism Of Road Freight Drop And Pull Transport

With the rapid development of logistics and social economic, road transport is putforward higher requirements. The traditional forms of freight carrier organization isinefficient and excessive competition, so government began to attach importance to dropand poll transport, they expected to improve the efficiency of freight through the promotionof drop and poll transport. They want to integrate the resources of freight transport, fosterlarge-scale transport enterprises, form a national drop and poll transport network whichmade logistics modern and intensive. The mechanism of drop and poll transport is key tothe freight development, its study will guide the development of drop and poll transport.The drop and poll transport operation system is an organic whole, each part isindispensable. The paper based on the basic elements of dop and poll transport,such as basicconcepts, organizatinal form, suitable conditon, vehicle equipment, we anlyzed the roadfreight transport market which was the existence of drop and poll transport. The paperdiscusses operation system through operation network and information platform. The papercombined the characters of drop and poll transport and mechanism of traditonal freighttransport, anlysed the economic mechanism, operation competing mechanism,freightorganization,vehicle scheduling and operation mechansim.The paper analyzed the freight industry through capacity structure, haulstructure,market structure and volume structure, predict the result which drop and polltransport carried out. In the operation network selection, we presented single/multi-transitstation hub model, listed the objective fuction of minimum cost, proposed algorithmtraverses the path and outlets. Finally, we dicussed operation mechanism of drop and polltransport based on large manufacturing companies and LTL freight.
