As an important part of market economy system, industrial association isplaying a more important role and development potential is enlarging. After therevocation of Professional Economic Management Department in China, especiallyafter China’s accession to the WTO, Industrial association has become anindispensable component in the chemical industry system. On this condition, thisthesis targets Shandong province chemical industry association, as a breakthrough, toresearch how to transform the industry association as soon as possible, which is veryimportant to the healthy development of the chemical industry in China.This thesis is based on a lot of books and papers about industrial association,absorbing a large number of research results home and abroad. By means of SWOTanalysis of the chemical industry association transition in Shandong province, I focuson analyzing the challenges faced by the chemical industrial association and theimportance of transition. Through the case analysis of Zibo chemical industryassociation, as well as the situation of Zibo city chemical industry, I analyzes theproblems existing in China and the countermeasures, such as taking advantages ofgovernment support and the close ties between enterprises, promoting thedevelopment of "official people-run", constructing a private, international, market-oriented and non-profit chemical industry association branch.
