Sports consumption growth is closely connected with positive propaganda of mass media, through the media propaganda, ordinary citizens are gradually establish sports interest, mass sports consumption concept also increasingly form, the research of mass media in a particular period of time for the impact of sports consumption, so as to more clearly understand the relationship between the media and sports consumption.During the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, xi ’an sports consumption through the mass media widely publicized and reached a historical high, this paper studies to Brazil during the World Cup xi of mass media on the impact of xi ’an sports consumption as the research object, analyzed the influence of mass media the concrete ways and characteristics of xi ’an sports consumption, and during this period of mass media in promoting sports consumption to reflect on the shortcomings, in the hope of hosting major sporting events in the future, for the media to better promote the xi ’an provide certain reference for the development of sports consumption.In the process of research, this paper adopted the method of literature review, logical analysis, expert interview and content analysis method, this paper studies the first through the consult literature material impact on the mass media has carried on the induction, the effect of sports consumption way and the related theory is summarized, the theory basis to the research of this paper, and then through communicate with experts in related disciplines, improve the research of this paper writing.Through the study of this article, the following conclusions,(1) during the World Cup in Brazil, the mass media through positive publicity, greatly promotes the growth of the xi ’an sports consumption; 2. The Brazilian World Cup xi ’an mass media to promote the sports consumption of main content is: the agenda-setting merchants build, advertisement, hot issues reported, hot events publicity; 3. The mass media during the World Cup in Brazil for xi ’an sports consumption affect the way in for different audiences, with different consumption guide way; The idea of popular consumption, expanding the scope of the spread of sports consumption, Pay attention to spread effectiveness, the first time influence the sports consumption and so on three aspects.
