Two dimensional animation as an important form of artistic expression, it shows a strong demand in the field of animation, film and television network advertising, digital entertainment games, etc. Currently in the field of two-dimensional animation, most of actions of animation images are manually adjusted by animator. When multiple roles repeated same action, the action still need to duplicate. The entire animation production process is cumbersome, time-consuming and low efficiency, which make the cost of the two-dimensional animation production remains high, seriously restrict the application of two-dimensional animation in various fields, especially can’t satisfy the needs of changing the character at any time, and generating the animation in real time in interactive environment.Application of motion data in 2D animation, effectively solved the problem of two-dimensional role action repeated use, achieved the function that action made one time can be used in the different role image. Moreover, data driven character animation can meet the adjustment needs of action difference of different role image, generate real-time animation. It greatly improved the production efficiency of the two-dimensional character animation and saved the production cost of two-dimensional animation.The emphasis of this thesis is to study the role model design principles and design methods of the role modeling in motion data driven 2D animation, based on understanding and mastering the methods of acquisition and binding of motion data. This thesis has an investigation on the application status of domestic and international movement data in 2D animation, which researchs the method to read motion data and bind it to a two dimensional role modeling. Through repeated experiments,respectively from the two aspects of biped and quadruped character animation character, it detailedly stated the design principles of two dimensional modeling structure which suitable for motion data driven and summed up two dimensional image design method, which suitable for motion data driven from role modelling, color, lighting, decoration and other props design factors. Hope it can provide a new two-dimensional animation production way for animation creation staff and promote the application and development of motion data in the creation of two-dimensional animation from the perspective of animation creation.
