Data mining technology can find the unknown and useful knowledge from large, high-dimensional data with complex relationship; the digital prototype technology is based on the CAX/DFX technology, which can conduct life cycle simulation of the product on the computer; a large amounts of heterogeneous data will be produced in the process of its modeling and operation; data mining technology can find useful knowledge or pattern from these heterogeneous data through the non-trivial method. This paper uses the data mining technology to study the working performance and safety performance of the digital prototype of bag filter; the specific work is as follows:⑴The simulation process, parameters and data characteristics of digital prototype were analyzed, combining with the data analysis requirement of digital prototype of bag filter, the data mining goal of predicting the working performance and safety performance of digital prototype of bag filter was set up, and the performance of the bag filter was analyzed, on the basis of it, the basic framework of data mining for digital prototype of bag filter was studied.⑵The data characteristics and the data mining requirement of digital prototype of bag filter were analyzed, and determined to build the working performance prediction model by BP neural network algorithm, to establish the safety performance prediction model by classification and regression trees algorithm, and the data mining model was built.⑶The data mining application system for digital prototype of bag filter was developed, and the development of the data mining functional module was completed; through predicting the working performance and bag house safety performance of 192 series digital prototype of bag filter, the feasibility and effectiveness of the functional module was proved.The research and application results show that the data mining technology can be applied to the digital prototype effectively. The knowledge or pattern obtained through applying the data mining in digital prototype can make it more convenient for designers to understand the relationship between the product parameters and performance, providing reference for rapid, accurate and low-cost new product development.
