The victory of China Anti-Japanese War is one of the most representative historical events in China’s political propaganda. All history is contemporary history. Media connected the "past" and "now", the media commemorate important historical events, not just for propaganda, but also for waking up and reshaping collective memory, therefore resulting in recognition.Therefore, this study take the reports that commemorate the victory of the war on People’s Daily among 1946 to 2015 as examples, based on framework theory, adopt quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis research methods to explore how People’s Daily construct the collective memory of the victory of China Anti-Japanese War in different historical stages, and the scene of memory at different stages.The study found that the People’s Daily take a different core discourse and discourse framework in different historical periods to interpret the war. Forgotten Stage mainly uses "US-Japan Peace" as core discourse and confrontation framework; Patriotism Education Stage uses "KMT-CPC cooperation" as core discourse and explain framework; Historical Activism Stage uses "rejuvenating of China " as core discourse and measures framework; Softening Historical Stage uses "peaceful" as core discourse and explanatory framework; Revisit Historical Stage uses "face up to history" as core discourse and risk framework for discourse framework.With the change of discourse framework, People’s Daily construct the collective memory of the war victory identity also changes. Forgotten Stage strengthen political identity, Pat riotism Education Stage and Historical Activism Stage strengthen national identity, Softening Historical Stage strengthen value identity, Revisit Historical Stage strengthen political identity.
