Research And Implementation Of High Definition Streaming Media Encapsulation And Live System Based On RTMP

With the innovation and progress of streaming media, the audio and video live system based on streaming media technology has attracted more and more attention. The existing video on-demand and live system has some disadvantages, such as high-dependency on operating system, the encapsulation module has high coupling with the capture module. How to make the users watch live situations simply and smoothly has been the important needs and concerns in the streaming media domain.This paper includes the research and implementation of a HD Live and VOD system based on RTMP protocol. The system can process streams efficiently, encapsulate the data packets with MP4 container, push the packets to streaming media server. This paper mainly researched the following contents:(1) The theory of streaming media buffer and HD video codec;(2) The programming with the open source solution, FFmpeg, and how to encapsulate real-time audio and video streams packets into MP4 container;(3) The procedure of data interaction between the streaming media server and Flash Player.During the system implementation, the author has conducted many research, and found the solution for some key problems, for example, the DTS, PTS conversion of audio and video packets when encapsulating with FFmpeg, the extraction and sending of the audio/video decoding information when implement the live system with the RTMP protocol.The system can meet the needs of audio and video broadcast system, has the character of higher supportability of cross platforms. This paper also presents improvements in terms of system function, such as increase the online interactive function and support multiple data rate.
