Today marine development gets more and more attention all over the world, the construction of "marine power" has become a development strategy in china. In the ocean, ocean current especially upwelling has important significance for the production of human life. Upwelling due to its complex movement and weak velocity, still have no effective means of detection both at home and abroad. Facing the urgent demand of the ocean exploitation, it is imminent to develop a new deep-ocean current sensor with high precision and stable performance. Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, a new 3-D current sensor is developed. For this new ocean current sensor, there is lack of effective universal calibration method at present. From the calibration needs departure, this paper designs a calibration platform with high precision and high speed stability, the current sensor are calibrated by absolute method.According to the requirements of ocean sensor calibration, establish the mechanical structure and control system of calibration platform. First, TI’s TMS320F28335 is choosed as the core processor to design control system, include the minimum DSP system circuit, position detection circuit, power supply circuit, D/A conversion circuit and communication circuit. Secondly, a simplified mathematical model of the whole system is established and the corresponding control algorithm is designed to improve the speed and position precision. The algorithm is simulated by MATLAB, and the code model of D/A conversion, speed loop and position loop are established. Use embedded coder module to generated DSP code directly, thus completing the program developing of control system. Finally, design the PC control program by LabVIEW. The user-friendly PC control interface realizes the function of sending command by calibration platform and the acquisition of the position and speed information.After finishing the design of calibration platform’s control system, relevant test are carried out, Including grating signal acquisition accuracy,D/A conversion accuracy, speed and position accuracy. The results show that the calibration platform meets conditions of the sensor’s calibration. Finally summarized the achievements and prospects the direction for future work.
