Design Of Multi-functional Plug Based On Powerline Carrier Technology And Wi-Fi Extending

With the concept of smart home proposed and popular, the products on the smart home have sprung up in the market. In these products, smart plug is a kind of small intelligent product which has intelligent control function. It is widespread and advertised in the intelligent devices market as "ticket" for the concept of smart home products. However, the single control function of the smart power plug makes it cannot get good popularity.The function and structure of the smart power plug were improved based on the single control function of above-mentioned smart power plug, Putting Wi-Fi extension function based on power line carrier technology, infrared remote control function and remote control function of the smart power plug together, this paper showed the design ideas of a multi-functional smart plug. These 3 functions were working cooperatively, because remote control function and infrared remote control function had to work in Wi-Fi condition, while the function based on power line carrier technology could extend Wi-Fi connection. Multifunctional smart plug based on power line carrier technology was researched and designed in this topic. To sum up, the main content of this paper are:1. Researched, analyzed current application status of the power line carrier and smart plug, then introduced the design ideas and design plan of multi-functional based on design requirements.2. To introduce design ideas more clearly, Wi-Fi extension function based on power line carrier technology, infrared remote control function and remote control function of the smart power plug were separately introduced in different chapters in this paper.3. Experiments and tests were showed in the end of paper, they indicated that multi-functional smart plug can well meet the design requirements.
