This thesis mainly focuses on the embedded software design and implementation of the reactive power regulation system based on cascade converter. The system is a combination of electric and electronic system, and it can be incorporated into the power system and then regulates the reactive power.Firstly, the significance of this study has been described, and the status and trend of technology development at home and abroad is described. Secondly, the application modules of the reactive power regulation system are designed. C programming language is used, and the coding is completed with the High performance Embedded Workshop(HEW) of the IDE platform. The software design includes algorithm, flowchart and program design. The software modules include device initialization, communication, control and other related modules. These modules are researched thoroughly and designed detailedly.Lastly, the results show that the control system meets the design requirements, and realizes several constant adjustment functions regarding reactive power, voltage, and power factor. The DC bus voltage balance control is well achieved with negative sequence voltage injection, and the reliability of the system is improved and the failure rate is reduced significantly.
