| Higher institution’s library, as the largest information storage site, possesses a large number of archives collections and electronic information resources. In recent years, with the increasing number of collections and solid strength, higher institution’s library, based on the teaching and research requirements, begins to search for new way of information service and involve with service of local economy and social development as well as form cooperation with local enterprises and public institutions.Higher institution owns a large number of professionals, and higher institution’s library is abundant in large number of archives collection. If the higher institution’s library can provide service for local economy and social development, the library can gather the professionals from higher institution to maximize the mining of most valuable information and convert the information resources into the scientific research. The scientific research for the enterprises and public institutions in the laboratory will form the latest scientific research products, then the research products will be brought out of the laboratory so as to form the productive forces for economic development, this kind of benign development mode shall be the necessary attempt for higher institution’s library to develop new development mode. Due to the preponderant discipline of higher institutions, their libraries will show different emphasis on the collected resources. Under this condition, the higher institutions shall enhance the communication between each other, and their libraries shall form the cooperation, share the collected resources and bring one’s superiority into full play. Among the cooperation between library and enterprise, the cooperation between libraries is significant, too. This paper, based on the survey of three libraries of higher institutions (Library of Tongling University, Library of University of Science and Technology of China, Library of Western Anhui University), gives a description that how the libraries of three universities involve with the opening-to-the-outside resources and provide the service for local economy and social service.At first,this article starts from the concept of local services of Higher institution’s library,realize that Higher institution’s library services for local from different aspects while the main way is provide knowledge and information resource. To serve the local economy can be provide service for the government, also can be for the enterprises and public institutions, provide information services to local citizens, these services contribute to local economic and social development directly or indirectly. Higher institution’s library concludes the characteristics of local economy and social development based on the economic development status such as different local policy,different culture and different economic level.Higher institution’s library services for local with different features.Tongling of Anhui province is rich in copper ore,the relative culture of copper is develop well at there.Library of Tongling base on this situation set up the copper culture research center,provide service on account of real local status.Besides,there is no unified service standards and forms when Higher institution’s library work for local,only did work based on the economic situation and the library’s status.At the same time,the quantity of Higher institution’s library can not meet local citizens’demand while part of them don’t have this ability to provide good services.Secondly,I have been worked as an intern in the library of Tongling,so I know the real situation about the local service.At the same time I interview the librarian of University of Science and Technology of China and get the case of Library of Western Anhui University and I summarizes the experience of the three libraries in serving local economic and social development.Then,I find there still exist some problems.At last,I give some advise to solve this problems. |
