Now the imbalance of aging of society and the shortage of medical resources has become one of the main contradiction in the social development. People take their health into more and more importance place, hoping to timely access to their physical health conditions. But the large professional medical expenditure and high time cost make it impossibility. With the development of wireless networks and improvement of hardware integration, wireless sensor network is now widely used. As a concrete example of a wireless sensor network, wireless body area network, has a huge demand in the modern health care systems and disease prevention mechanism.Because of the potential effects of radiation, for many people, the radio signal will not be accepted. Ultrasound as a transmission medium of communication for the wireless signal will make wireless body area network much more acceptable for its harmless to human body. Since the strong directional propagation of ultrasonic waves, the original radio signal propagation model and route algorithm is not suitable for transmission control of the ultrasonic signal. Besides, the variability of topology, the complexity of human surface and the movement of human also lead to great difficulties for the information reliable transmission in wireless body area network.As a fusing of coding technique and routing information exchange strategy, network coding has a great advantage in increasing network throughput, improving load balance, reducing the transmission delay, saving node energy, enhancing the robustness and reliability of the network. Therefore, introducing the technique of network coding to wireless body area network is very necessary to improve the reliability of data transmission.Since the energy restrictions of each node in WSN, the life cycle of wireless sensor networks has been a hot research topic. Since the energy consumption of spreading information in the wireless sensor network is the largest contributor to the total energy consumption, thus reducing energy consumption in information dissemination area is one of the best way to prolong the network life cycle. Similarly, for wireless body area network, routing algorithm with energy saving feature is also one of the ways to extend the life cycle.In this paper, based on the ultrasonic signal transmission mode, according to data transmission problem in body area network, research on how to improve the reliability of communication and prolong the network life cycle. By using network coding algorithm on the relay nodes to improve the reliability of wireless body area network data transmission; Through dynamic routing policy to save energy and prolong the life cycle of wireless body area network. Finally the correctness of network coding algorithm and routing algorithm are both verified by experiment, and through comparing with the existing algorithm, the improvement of network life cycle and network reliability are also illustrated intuitively.
