With the development of the embedded technology and the internet of tings, RTU has been widely used in management and production on oil field. In order to solve the problems of current RTU simple designed, inflexible used and weak processing, the design of integrated RTU software system based on ARM9 and Linux is proposed in this dissertation. The RTU can be configured flexibly to meet the different needs in every occasion. The RTU is comprised of ARM9 as the processor with Linux running on it. It performs well in control and storage. Also, it is compatible with a variety of communication protocols. By analyzing the development and application status of RTU equipment of Oil and Gas Field, the adaptability and flexibility of RTU product also needs to improve, build a RTU software system using modularized designing that enables designers to shorten the development cycle and strong adaptability, but also makes the RTU products of design to be used in different oil and gas fields, that is a certain commonality.This article researches Installation of Cross Development Environment be the same with RTU hardware platform of the cross compile environment transplantation includes: transplant the U-the Boot, the Linux kernel and root file system image, building the RTU software development platform adopt Red Hat Enterprise Linux4 software on deployed virtual machine of VMware Workstation, completed the net ports, serial ports, SPI etc, driver development and transplantation, to convenient programming and debugging, improve the efficiency of application development.System software design includes: porting of embedded Linux system realized transplantation of JFFS2, RTU data Acquisition Program, Remote Management Facility, Web server development, Database server development and The watchdog program development etc; Using modularized designing order to enhance adaptability and maintenance convenience. This system is aimed to fulfill the purpose of data acquisition, transmission, storage and resolution, completing drawing indicator diagram of oil wells, raising result treatment efficiency, and real-time monitoring of operation conditions of the oil pumping equipment.Through the study of this subject, the oil wells multi-parameter remote monitoring system has the features of reliable information transmission, low cost and fitting for different oil and gas fields. Therefore, it improves the automatic management level of oil wells.
