Secondary surveillance radar with its ability to report on the target location, height, status, etc, has a wide range of applications in the Air Traffic Management systems. But at the same time, secondary surveillance radars use the same frequency and ask the frequency response, the false targets can produce and exist because of the same frequency interference, it could cause a great influence with the controllers work and the air traffic orderly running. So, the interference of secondary radar target must be identified and suppressed. At present, the main problems need to be solved are how to eliminate the impact of different interference mechanism of target in false target identification and suppression, and in different working process to deal with the secondary radar restraint of the false target. With a profound study on the mechanism and signal characteristics of all kinds of false targets, especially the formation of interference and its influence on response code, this thesis analyzed the effectivity of the current technics such as sidelobe suppression processing, sliding window method, multiple radar data fusion technology, as well as the methods for reducing the multipath effect, and simulated them in the Matlab software. According to the engineering practice, an improved imaging radar target recognition algorithm has been proposed, by extracting radar measured data, simulation software platform structure radar target distribution, to solve the singular values and singular vectors, corresponding to track the status of management information, quickly identified the target report is false or not. The results show us that this algorithm in the false target identification is certain superiority and efficiency, to be able to make more rapid access to secondary radar target of true and false information, to provide the controllers of the real route information, then ensure the safety of air traffic.
