Three dimensional visualization of medical images is a result in the study of clinical medicine and teaching.It contains medical image processing,computer graphics theory and virtual reality technology.A series of CT images are rebuilted to 3D model by surface rendering or volume rendering.Medical workers can observe more interested regions.In recent years, this technology has became the focus of home and abroad.No matter in the medical teaching,radiation therapy,virtual endoscopy or forensic,it plays an important role.Firstly,medical images of DICOM formation are analysed, and in the light of the characteristics of medical CT images,suitable segmentation method and filtering method are given.In the filtering,median- method combine with the anisotropy, gradient modulus values which come from median filtering instand of gradient modulus values which come from PM.In the segmentation,watershed combine with region growing,this method can effectively utilizing the structure information of image and pixels information. According to the watershed algorithm to get the gradient image which contains closed curve. Segmenting the image based on the gradient image.Secondly,reconstruction algorithm using Marching Cubes which is one of the classical surface rendering algorithms.In the improved MC algorithm, the improved look-up table method is used to solve the problem of ambiguity.The basic lookup table uses 17 basic configuration for the reconstruction of three dimensional reconstruction model. The result shows that cavitation is eliminated. Aiming at the problem of efficiency of the MC algorithm,"regional traversal method” is presented based on the theory of human organs connection,once unempty element within the triangles was determined,adjacent triangles in body is bound to be topology extension according to certain rules. In order to further reduce the amount of calculation,using middle points instead of linear interpolation method to calculate the intersection point.This promotes the overall efficiency of the algorithm.Finaly,We designed the three dimensional visualization system of medical CT images, The reconstruction model can interact with the users.
