With the development of science and technology, electrical control technology in various fields, especially in the field of automatic control, has made considerable development, with more and more applications. PLC with its high reliability, flexibility,easy expansion, strong versatility, convenient use and other advantages, is widely used in the construction of national economy. In recent years due to the PLC and combined with field bus technology, so that in the various areas of control shows significant potential and good application prospect.In order to meet the needs of the PLC market, this paper will design a universal embedded PLC, and used in digital printing ink control system to control the amount of ink.First of all, the paper describes the development of PLC and embedded PLC,Details of the source of the topic and the research content.Secondly, through the analysis of the traditional PLC system’s basic structure,working principle and Design of user requirements and the design of embedded PLC of the system, to provide theoretical support for the follow-up study.Once again, the detailed design of the embedded PLC from the hardware configuration used the cortex-m4 kernel microprocessor. Analysis of the hardware development demand and give the overall system hardware design the function of each unit circuit modules in detail, carries on the test to the important index and give the results.Then, design of the software programming of the embedded PLC in detail, analysis of the software requirements and gives the design of software structure and module structure in detail. Then description of the realization of the PLC system, and tests and results the basic function and performance.Finally, the paper design a PLC can be applied to the digital printing ink control system, how to communicate with the slave station, and the test results are presented. Through this example illustrates the method of using embedded PLC and the analysis of embedded PLC advantages.
