The Study Of Microstrip Array Antenna With Variable Polarization

Polarization refers to the behavior of the tip of the electric field vector as a function of time at a point in space. There are three polarizations because of the electric field with different amplitude and phase, respectively linear polarization, circular polarization and elliptical polarization. When the relative orientation of a transmitting and receiving antenna is changing or unknown, linear polarization and circular polarization is desirable. Recently, it is widely used in communication and anti-jamming area.This paper represents a kind of microstrip antenna with wide-band and high-isolation, based on the antenna element, we propose two kinds of vari-polarization array antenna, which one is based on the dual-linear-polarization and the other is based on the dual-circular-polarization, meanwhile, we analysis the polarization characters of the antenna. Based on the theory of the polarization described above, the realization program of vari-polarization array antenna is designed. The contents list as follows:Firstly, this article briefly describes the theory of polarization, and analyses the relationship between different polarizations, and realizes of vari-polarization via the relationship between the dual-linear-polarization and dual-circular-polarization.Secondly, the antenna element with wide-band and high-isolation which is based on microstrip technique has been designed, then the dual-linear-polarization antenna is proposed and the character of the polarization is discussed.Thirdly, some simple microstrip circular polarized implementation technologies have been discussed, then the dual-circular-polarization antenna is proposed based on the form of circular polarized microstrip and the character of the polarization is discussed.Finally, according to the polarization character discussed above, two kinds of realization program have been designed, also the component to constitute the vari-polarization antenna are introduced.
