Design And Implementation Of An Intelligent Campus Security System

With the increasing enrollments and the development of campus constructions, campus security problem is becoming more and more serious in China. The campus crime brings many unstable factors to the daily activities of teachers and students.Analyzing the existing problems of campus safety, the paper discussed to construct a video monitoring system, which is an effective and comprehensive means to solve the problem. The video monitoring system provides vivid, real-time information, and it builds a three-dimensional security system with other things, thus security personnel will work more efficiently.In view of the current safety requirements, the paper designed the video monitoring security system and described in detail the architecture design, parameter calculation and equipment selection of each part, including the security cameras, campus network, data storage and display, and the security center. Finally the video content analysis technology has been applied to improve the effectiveness, security and reliability of the system.Campus security system, especially the video monitoring system, is an effective complement to the security work, which is a kind of invisible protection of teachers’ and students’ daily life, and is a kind of effective supervision of criminals and deterrence.
