The quality and use of workpiece are effected by its surface damage and flaw, and frictional loss usually exists in the operation process of equipment. Especially in some high precision equipment, the material wastage has harmful impact on the normal usage and service life of equipment,even plants the seeds of hidden danger.Therefore, It is of great significance to carry high precision detection on the surface of workpiece.In this paper,the damage morphology information measuring technique based on laser scanning was studied in detail with the study objest of high-speed sliding electrical contact workpiece and the test was carried out by using damage morphology information collection and analysis system, finally,the corresponding analysis of surface damage was studied according to experimental results.In the present study, the evolution of high precision damage measurement on workpiece surface in high-speed sliding electrical contact was studied both experimentally and analytically.The principle of damage detection was studied in damage measurement system based on high precision laser scanning. The data measurement is non-contact based on laser triangulation. At the request of precision test, the sensor was used to collect damage information and transmitted by high precision performance synchronous belt which was controlled by servo motor. Damage contour was detected for different materials and locations in the basis of this system and the damage information of workpiece surface was studied by using those detection results.3D reconstruction for collected surface damage information was showed, also, the comparison results between the 3D model and edge detection algorithm was given.Detection method based on point cloud curvature estimation was applied to verify the accuracy of the edge detection algorithm base on image processing. The effectiveness and feasibility of the detection scheme provide the basis for key parts of the structure and material modification in high precision equipment.In consideration of the electromagnetic environment existing in the process of damage measurement system, electromagnetic protection was conducted in fllowing aspects,interference sources, grounding technology and shielding technology. High-speed data acquisition unit was designed to carry out high-speed data acquisition of damage information. The precision control of mearsurent system and high precision isolation conversion technology are both achieved by using PC software,thus the anti-jamming capability of the measurement system was enhanced effectively.
