With the sustained rapid growth of China’s economy, great changes in the power industry planned and constructed in anticipation of the overall socioeconomic development has occurred. Management mechanisms based on separate power plant system and grid system have been established within the power industry, and the internal structure and application range of grid companies are constantly changing. Currently, the rising demand for power resources leads to increasing complexity in power marketing management, and sets new requirements on the power market management. According to the development trends of the power market, a sound power marketing strategy has an important role to play for its further development.The present thesis makes a thorough analysis of the information system for management in power supply corporations. It is followed by a discussion of the status of domestic and international power marketing management. An in-depth investigation is conducted into the existing management system among the power supply corporations and power needs in the market; special attention is given to examining functional requirements and non-functional requirements within the system modules. Efforts for the design of the system include division of system modules, configuration of module functions and arrangement of system data. For the development of the system, the popular Java development platform is used with a J2 EE components-based framework. For better system security, a security certification development model based on Weblogic is employed. This research is significant in that it can not only improve the management of power enterprises and their operational efficiency, but also enhance their customer service capabilities.The system implements the latest design specifications for power marketing system, and reflects an advanced design philosophy. Good portability of the system ensures that it can operate in a variety of operating system platforms. Once put into use, the system can greatly boost customer service capabilities, improve corporate administration, and enhance corporate efficiency.
