There are many important components in the microwave system such as millimetre wave power distributions devices, which are used in microwave transmission power point few road transports to the different load, or used as microwave combiner for higher power delivery. As the electromagnetic spectrum is very limited, the available spectrum resources increase more and more tense. So multi-ports power divider which has broadband, lower insertion loss, higher inter-port isolation, and equal phases between the outputs ports are very useful in this field.The amplitude balance between the power divider output port, insertion loss, phase consistency between each output port, isolation, and the whole device volume about the power divider are focused on by many designers. Each indicator will be on a very important impact on the quality of the whole system. So designing with low insertion loss and high isolation between the output port, phase consistency and compact power divider is a very urgent thing. Therefore, it is a very important subject for developing of high performance power divider/ combiner in the microwave field.Based on the professors who are researched, this paper is mainly engaged in novel power dividers, which have wide-band, high performance and miniaturization size. The article main research content is as follows:1. This thesis made a brief introduction about the main background on the development of microwave millimeter wave power divider, the research significance and research status at home and abroad, and made an arrangement about the whole paper;2. Of four ports of microwave network are introduced, and analysis the theory of Riblet bridge theory, a compact two-way millimetre-wave waveguide power divider(patent pending) is proposed. Which with close to equal phases based on the Riblet short-slot coupler in this paper to solve the intrinsic 90 °phase difference directly in the coupling region;3. Considering the practical engineering applications, a further research of the new phase power divider is very useful. Then make four power dividers back together to form a comparator. Based on this idea proposing a comparator, and has carried on the simulation and test results;4. Ridge waveguide theory analysis is introduced, and then gives the capacitance loading ridged waveguide equivalent circuit. Based on the analysis, proposing a broadband ridge waveguide power divider, and has carried on the final simulation and test result about the wide-band power divider;5. Summarizes the main research about the whole paper and puts forward some disadvantages about this paper.
