The travelling wave tube simulation software developed by 776 th factory has been used for electro-optical system(EOS) simulation, slow-wave structure(SWS) simulation, collector simulation and magnetic focusing system simulation. And the Ukrainian’s TWT simulation software HFA has played the same role. However, both of them consist of a lot of executable files, and need many different data files and graphic files, which makes the software cannot be used and developed efficiently.In order to solve the inconvenient problems of the 776 th factory’s TWT simulation software and HFA, the dissertation designed a TWT simulation software integration system, also called TWT_CAD. The design of the TWT_CAD based on the design platform of VB6.0, developed the user interface(UI) modules and simulation interface program of simple, complex, pole controlled and grid controlled EOS. The UI modules and simulation interface program of simple, complex, ring-loop(and rod), coupled cavity slow wave system. The UI modules and simulation interface program of simple and complex collector system, and the UI modules and simulation interface program of repulsion array, negative perturbation magnetic focusing system.The TWT_CAD can be easily used to read and modify the data of the structures of TWT’s, and quickly call the simulation modules for simulating the new structures. So, the usage and design efficiency has been improved greatly.The TWT_CAD software has been applied to the duration of manufacturing and R&D in the 776 th factory, which has made significant effect on the ease of use and the improvement of the design efficiency.
