Electric vacuum switch devicesplay an irreplaceable role in the field of high voltage large current because of its high compression capacity. The pseudospark switch tube which involved in this paper has hollow cathode structure,it is a new type of low gas pressure cold cathode pulse power modulation switch which works in Paschen curve left branch, its working principle is based on the theory of gas discharge,by triggering the hollow cathode effect, resulting in a large number of electron, eventually conduct pseudospark switch tube. Compared with the traditional electric vacuum switch device, it has large discharge current, simple working circuit and long operating life.During the period of graduate school,I am participated in the design of the pseudospark switch tube, successfully developed a typle of pseudo spark switch tube which can stably trigger and conduct large current. In my work,I set up effective compact test circuit,make a test and analysis on the performance of the pseudospark switch tube and give the discharge waveform about pseudopark switch tube, and discusse pseudo spark switch tube discharge at various stages of the process, enrichthe discharge theory of pseudospark switch tube. And find out the main factors influencing the pseudospark switch tube performance, carried out contrast test experiment about which factors affecting its trigger performance and discharge performance.Based on the results of experiments about pseudospark switch tube trigger performance and discharge performance, I found some shortage in the design of the pseudo spark switch tube, aiming at the low bearing pressure in the original design and high trigger voltage, I make some change about the structure about pseudospark switch tube. Then, under the same test conditions, I test the pseudospark switch tube performance about before the change and after the change, compare the results I carry on the theoretical analysis and prove the method of change about the structure is successful.
