In recent years, extensive management of the Domestic Tourist Attractions has resulted in so many problems, such as lower utilization of bearing capacity of tourist attractions, increasingly serious peak tourist congestion, accelerative safety risks,deterioration of environment, and so on. In this thesis, an information management system of tourist attractions based on U-RFID intelligent reader is presented for the promotion of sustainable development of eco-tourism.By improving the existing technology of RFID reader combined with the technology of embedded design and network communication, a new U-RFID intelligent reader based on ARM9+R1000 framework is designed by using embedded hardware and software technology to meet the practical demand better. A ticket management system is achieved by using RFID technology for automatically identifying, collecting and transmitting the information of visitors as well as environments, a tourist navigation system is get by using RFID positioning and tracking technology combined with geographic information system, a data-based scenic scheduling system is designed to achieve the function of prediction, decision-making and planning, and a visitor density monitoring system is accomplished to meet the requirements of scenic high efficiency and delicacy management. This set of system has been proved to reach the design goals and has got good reflections by having been installed and used in tourist attractions.In this thesis, an inclusive research on information management system of tourist attractions has been adopted. At the beginning, some essential information is got through the investigation of tourist scale, tourist distribution, congestion situation, and environmental information and so on, and several key problems in application of RFID technology, such as RFID positioning and tracking technology, geographic information system, RFID anti-collision algorithm, and RFID’s security mechanism, which are used in information management system of tourist attractions, are analyzed deeply.The development requirements of intelligent information system of tourist attractions are analyzed in detail, and the overall design scheme of the system is proposed. The U-RFID intelligent reader is designed basing on ARM9+R1000framework and by using embedded hardware and software technology. The ticket management subsystem, as well as visitor navigation subsystem and visitor densitymonitoring system, is also designed in detail.The installation of U-RFID reader and the deployment of the set of system in tourist attractions are introduced respectively.Further more, the performance of the U-RFID reader is tested, and it’s proved to be more intelligent and more effective to use U-RFID intelligent reader in the information management system of tourist attractions than that of RFID reader.
