Diameter measurement system is widely used in modern industrial production, and the diameter to achieve high precision and fast measurement in industrial control, industrial production has important application value, non-contact diameter measuring method based on CCD cannot damage in the measured under the premise of the physical properties of the complete treatment of the measurement, fast measurement speed, high precision and the measurement environment no special requirements, in the modern industrial production is widely used.In this paper in order to ensure the measurement accuracy under the premise to increase measurement range as the main purpose, in access to a large number of domestic and foreign literature, based on the detailed analysis of the research status at home and abroad, mainly to complete the following research contents:(1) Put forward two sets of measurement method uses a set of optical imaging measurement system. The system use screen method and diffraction measurement of thin cylinder diameter, so as to improve the measurement range of the system. The experimental results show that two methods to measure the common imaging system in the measurement of thin cylinder diameter can be under the premise of ensuring the measurement accuracy and increases the measuring range.(2) Developed based on a wide range of CCD diameter measurement system. The measurement system with He Ne laser and high power LED as a light source, array CCD camera as a receiver. The measurement range of the system is transmissive optical and reflective imaging optical path difference are studied0.04-40mm, and analyzes the telecentric imaging system treat the measured location requirements.(3) According to the common CCD calibration method and calibration of the measurement results of the error analysis, the proposed quadratic curve calibration method. In the measurement range of quadratic curve calibration method can effectively reduce the diameter within0.5-1.5mm results of filament diameter measurement error.(4) For measuring system in two kinds of measuring methods, design the corresponding image processing and data analysis procedures, and graphical user interface are designed in the MATLAB environment, so as to achieve the real-time display of measurement results.
