In view of the reality that HVAC consumes much energy and has big potentialfor energy-saving as well as the present situation of central air-conditioning system,taking aim at overall energy conservation of ice storage central air-conditioning, thispaper develops a building central air-conditioning energy conservation monitoringnetwork based on ZigBee technology, which can implement real-time monitoring andcontrolling of central air-conditioning system of large public buildings andarchitectural complex.Research work focuses on a power center of ice storage central air-conditioningsystem. The power center is taken as a subnet of energy-saving monitoring network, acoordinator and several terminal nodes are set up in the subnet. Through the terminalnodes, the parameters of indoor environment temperature, humidity as well as thepower center plate heat exchanger secondary side supplying and returning watertemperature and the equipment operation condition can be real-timely collected.Based on self-organizing wireless sensor network composed of the protocol of IEEE802.15.4/ZigBee transmit the date to a coordinator which communicates with themonitoring center upper PC through GPRS networks. CC2530is the core ofcoordinator and terminal nodes hardware, its software uses C language as theprogramming language which is developed in the IAR development environment.Upper PC management software uses C#as the programming language, which canrealize the remote monitoring and network management of power center subnet.Finally, the central air-conditioning energy conservation monitoring network wastested, the results showed that the monitoring network could implement the remotecontrol of the power center equipment and system operation and carry out the datatransmission and display, the communication was good and achieved the expectedtarget.The paper is divided into five chapters. Firstly, the basic working principle andcomposition of the central air-conditioning system are introduced. Then, severalwidely used short distance wireless communication technology are introduced,through the comparison of their performance parameters and characteristics, ZigBeeis determined as the wireless sensor network communication mode of the system.Finally, the paper introduces the hardware and software design of the nodes and thedevelopment process of the monitoring center supper PC software.
