The extensive use of high-tech in modern warfare, makes strategic thinking, battle mode, establishment system and weapons and equipment and other aspects produce a significant change, is exacerbated by the complexity of modern warfare, promotes the comprehensive development of data fusion technology. Battlefield target identification and situation intention forecasting is an important part of data fusion in military field, through identification data of surveillance and detection information to fuse and obtain the results and its credibility of battlefield target identification, then through surveillance and detection information and the results of the battlefield target identification to comprehensively assess the current situation and the threat in order to obtain the overall perception of the battlefield situation, becomes an important military means to defeat the enemy. Therefore, research has important significance.The emergence of new weapons, the rapid development of sensor technology, the complex modern battlefield, undoubtedly increase the complexity and difficulty of the battlefield target identification and situation intention forecasting. Through the research of algorithm on the battlefield target identification and situation intention forecasting, to find the problem and seek a breakthrough point to come up with effective and feasible method, the accuracy of the results of the battlefield target identification would be improved, the ability of the intention forecasting would be enhanced, provide a reference for perfection of correlation algorithm, promote the development of data fusion technology, has a certain value in the theory and practice. This article is the research of the algorithm on the battlefield target identification and situation intention forecasting, mainly research contents are as follows:(1) According to existing data fusion model and project requirements, it researches a data fusion model and systematically explaines, then it describes the algorithms and practical applications in data fusion.(2) For the problem of failed fusion of the D-S evidence theory on the battlefield target identification data, by studying the characteristics of the battlefield target idendtification data and the combination rule, D-S evidence theory based on mathematical model and D-S evidence theory based on discount factor are proposed, it is shown that two improved D-S evidence theory improve the credibility and accuracy of the results on the battlefield target identification.(3) For the lack of hierachy, cumulation and correction of the blackboard model in the intention forecasting, through the hierarchical division of the situation and the study of the blackboard, it proposes an algorithm of the intention forecasting based on the hierarchical blackboard model to solve the problems, and improves the ability of the situation intention forecasting and the accuracy of the results.(4) According to the actual needs of the project, workflow and modules of the system are given, and three new proposed algorithms are applied to the system to further demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the algorithms.
