The design and application of the climbing stairs loading vehicle is a great embodiment of the modern service robots infiltrating the social life. As a kind of auxiliary tool, the climbing stairs loading vehicle help manual workers, the disabled and the elderly carrying things walk up and down the stairs in their daily life. It has the vast importance/vital significance to ease their burden when they climb stairs and increase the flexibility when they go out. The origin of this paper comes from the National High-Tech Research and Development Program of China (863Program), the "Disabled/old Walker System", and the project derives from it.With the increasingly fast development of urbanization and the progress in medical care, some problems like aged tendency of population are getting more serious.Thus the problem that the elderly or the maimed carries things upstairs quiet difficult is becoming more clear.Therefore a kind of carrying cart that can climb stairs undoubtedly could be served as a useful tool to help ordinary citizens and manual workers in our daily life. With the stair climbing vehicle, those people can carry things on high-rise buildings conveniently. Some foreign research institutions and manufacturers have already gradually developed a series of stair climbing vehicle, and a small amount of products have been put into the market.Bur it is hard to achieve scale production for the high prices, this kind of scientific and technology achievement just is used by the minority, which means stair climbing vehicle industry is still in the stage of development. China’s domestic stair climbing vehicle industry is just in the initial stage and develops slowly for the vehicle products which can complete climbing buildings with carrying things is not mature enough. The development of the industry has greatly promoted the quality of city life and advances the application of the civilized technology.Therefore, it is very important to design a climbing stairs loading vehicle of low cost, reasonable function and convenient use.This paper under the precondition of consulting a large number of data, the climb building combining with the implementation process and the rationality of the designed a climb building chain type device, and design transmission system, power system and control system, through Solidworks complete the climbing stairs loading vehicle structure design, and complete the climb building entity modeling of cargo car; With the help of CAE software, a simulation model, including based on the movement simulation software ADAMS of mechanical system, to establish the model of virtual prototype dynamics simulation, always climb building simulation flat car output in the process of the stairs and changes of the relative movement parameters, important component validation package unit, output is in line with the requirements of dynamics and climb building with the aid of finite element analysis software ANSYS slide car key components, strength and stiffness analysis based on the reliability of the verification work of key component is optimized, climb building for the lightweight design of cargo car subsequent reference; Finally, the prototype verified the no-load and load test, in the actual operating conditions meet the expected design requirements and parameters, such as climbing speed of climb to power devices research laid a solid foundation.
