High performance Network Over Coax(HINOC) is a broadband access technology solution which is proposed under the background of "triple play" and based on the FTTB(Fiber To The Building) network structure. HINOC using the existing CATV network transmits the Ethernet data and CATV signal in common coaxial cable to provide voice, IPTV, HDTV and Internet service. The HINOC1.0 protocol standard has been issued. The better performance HINOC2.0 R&D work is ongoing and has made a great progress. This lays a solid foundation for the chip design of HINOC2.0.The paper is based on the National High-tech R&D Program– “Research and Chip Design of a High performance Broadband Access Technology Over Coax”. Firstly, HINOC protocol standards and key mechanism in MAC layer is introduced and analyzed. Secondly, according to the requirement of project, the HINOC2.0 1G verification system is built and maintained and key modules are optimized. Thirdly, HINOC2.0 C model is designed for UVM verification. Finally, the simulation and comparative analysis of 1G verification system and C model demonstrates the correctness and feasibility of the designed system and the rationality to achieve the expected goals.
