With the development of Internet, tons of devices that can connect Internet emerged. In the meantime, the amount of videos on Internet increase explosively because of their convenience, which enriches our lives. From YouTube to Youku and Tudou, platforms that provide with videos come out one by one. But on the other hand, there are also a series of problems coming out and they can be mainly divided into two aspects.The first problem is that the number of video increase so fast that there are a great number of same or similar videos released on the Internet, which gives a great deal of pressure to the servers and wastes a lot of resource. Although these exist some methods, such as MD5 to match and detect repeated videos, actually they do not work well. The second one is that videos on the Internet is very easy to be copied and spread out, and hard for supervision, which leads to large amount of private videos full of the Internet. This problem hugely injures the rights of video holders and platforms.Focusing on such problems, this paper mainly concerns about the solution to video redundancy and the copyright problem. We propose and realize an Internet information service and monitor platform with watermark and content based copy detection technology. The system includes two parts, server and client. Copy detection technology is used to reduce same and similar videos in the server while watermark technology is used for copyright protection.The main research of this paper includes the following aspects.1. Research of watermark and content based copy detection algorithms.We do research on the general situation and development process of watermark and copy detection technologies, study the advantages of this two technologies for copyright protection and same or similar video detection. Beyond that, we choose proper watermark algorithm, which is STDM, and Hash based copy detection method, which is a time and space combined algorithm, and use them for the VOD platform.2. Research on realization of video encoding and decoding.The mechanism of video encoding and decoding is very complicated. This paper mainly study two popular lib, opencv and ffmpeg, which can do the job of video encoding and decoding. With analysis of their advantages and disadvantages, we design a mixed programming solution using both of them for video encoding and decoding.3. Framework design of Internet information service and security monitoring.Design the main framework of Internet information service and security monitoring platform, which includes a server and several clients. In the server we design the process of copy detection during the uploading, watermark embedment and monitoring the request form the clients. In the client we design the process of watermark extract and the mechanism of video on demand.4. Design of algorithm extension interface of Internet information service and security monitoring platform and realization of the whole system.Design extensible interface for the system so that more excellent watermark and copy detection algorithms can be introduced into the system for higher performance. Finally, we realize the system on two PCs. The system works well after the test.In conclusion, this paper design and realize an Internet information service and security monitoring platform based on the study of watermark and copy detection algorithms. Beyond basic VOD functions, redundancy in the server is reduced and copyrights of videos are protected. To some extent, the system have use values.
