With the great improvement of the mobile communication technology in China, the business of mobile communication is becoming an indispensable part of our daily life gradually. The count of mobile communication customers is increasing year by year, and the count of fixed-line telephone customers is decreasing in contrast, which leads to a tremendous expanding tendency of mobile base stations, particularly referring to the growth of the small-scale mobile base stations in remote areas. For the security of the communication networks, the carrier operators need an efficient maintenance to guarantee that the equipments in these base stations work normally and reliably. Therefore, it is vitally meaningful to design a remote supervision system for the mobile base stations, which can supervise the status of equipments in real-time, record the working data reasonably, and manage the failure causes, for a goal of decreasing the cost and increasing the efficiency of the maintenance.This thesis introduced the research meaning and research status at home and aboard of mobile base station supervision system at first. Consequently, this thesis designed a general system structure. The supervision center and supervision unit constitutes this system, and the data is transmitted through the GPRS communication network. This thesis will introduce the constitution and structure of the system supervision unit and the communication protocol of intelligent devices, design the communication protocol of data exchange between the supervision center and the supervision unit, and analyze the procedure of data gathering and order receipt in supervision unit. The supervision center adopts the B/S structure and modularized design. This thesis designed the communication program, the data base, and the Web service program respectively. The result of the final test for this system software proves that it is capable of the basic requirements.The communication base station supervision system designed in this thesis utilized the technology of computer, database, internetwork communication, and Silverlight plus ASP.NET web page, chose the VS 2010 as the develop environment, the Blend 4 as the interface design tool, and the SQL Server 2008 as the system database. The system combined the B/S structure and the C/S structure. The C/S structure performs the function of the data exchange between the supervision center and the supervision unit, and the B/S structure performs the function of remote supervision, which serves with the data exhibition, data querying, graphic curves, and system management. With the function modules in the supervision center, the system is provided with base station real-time information query, remote control, and system maintenance, giving rise to the networking, automation and informatization of the mobile base station supervision system. The system provides a logical supervision interface and sufficient kinds of functions. What’s more, the system will take a prepared action when error happens, and it will record the failure causes scientifically, that will alleviate the abundant of administrative staff, increase the system efficiency, and guarantee the reliability and stability of the system.
