Southwest Normal University Press Digital Publishing Innovation Model

From the invention of papermaking to the appearance of mobile terminals such as mobile phone, tablet, science and technology, with a new form, has created new productive forces, production relations and new industry model through reform and reconstruction of traditional publishing content, which provides convenience for people’s real life. With the rise of mobile Internet, digital communication technology has changed people’s reading habits so that people knows the old things with a brand-new feeling now. The education press, thriving with the development of the Internet, bears the sacred mission of civilization heritage and the dissemination of knowledge from the first beginning to the end. It must identify its own strengths and positioning in the publishing industry reform and torrent of digital publishing industrial policies, create and develop its publishing model continuously so as to serve for the reform and development of education in the new period, serve for the spread and carry forward the excellent culture of China.Southwest China Normal University Press (hereinafter referred to as the "SCNUP "), backed by Southwest University, has rich education resources, potential human resources and mature channel resources. In 2008, by following the trend of digital publishing, SCNUP has formulated the digital publishing strategy. Now, as a forerunner of Western Digital Publishing, SCNUP together with industry colleagues, are leading the Western Education Publishing Press to the broad road of digital publishing in a healthy and orderly way. Combined with the actual situation of SCNUP, this paper will mainly study from the following aspects:Chapter I, introduce the domestic and foreign development status of the digital publishing, sort out the problems faced by Education Press, such as the lack of policy, talent shortage, mismanagement, copyright chaos in order to summarize all kinds of problems faced by Chinese Education Press under the environment of market economy, to reflect the true features of Education Press. At the same time, by analyzing the successful experience of Foreign Education Press, we could comparatively analysis the problems that our domestic Education Presses have faced in the process of development.Chapter Ⅱ, redefine the concept of the digital publishing according to the amendments and suggestions of the loose parts of the legal definition in publishing industry and the statement. Describe the foreign digital publishing modes:database online publishing mode, online education, online e-book publishing, and journal of online publishing models so as to make a comparison and summary with the combination of mature experience and model in domestic.Chapter Ⅲ, introduce the digital publishing of SCNUP in recent years. According to time and strategy development need, digital publishing positioning and digital database construction, shift from scale to quality, to form "12345" development strategy, namely to build a professional digital publishing team, construct two basic digital platforms, make three large databases, develop four sets of digital products, realize five kinds of digital services.Chapter Ⅳ, summarize and refine the digital publishing model of SCNUP, then propose the innovative modes that are the "Test Mode" based on the core of "Southwest Normal University Edition" electronic copyright, the "Database Integration Mode" based on the support of the digital platform and "Operation Mode " based on the core of "Internet+". Centre on the SCNUP Innovation Mode and the development strategy of digital publishing, SCNUP also needs to deepen the reform in the digital wave to lay the foundation for the digital transition from the following parts:strengthen its own technical personnel construction, management talents construction, content platform construction, and digital copyright protection etc.Chapter Ⅴ, SCNUP digital publishing innovation model has reference to the transformation of the educational transformation, traditional educational publishers can learn from the development of the digital publishing model of SCNUP, and go to the quality and efficiency of scale transformation of the road, go big project driven development road, and take the road of Internet integration publication. SCNUP not only need to improve the way of the transformation of digital publishing, but also need to strengthen the development of qualified personnel, building art digital publishing database, profit model innovation, to create integrated digital publishing cloud platform.
