With the rapid development of the Internet industry and Li Keqiang premier "Internet+" proposed, the development of virtual reality technology is growing rapidly. As the technology has the characteristics such as interactive, immersive and creative, its applications continue to grow. Virtual roaming based on Unity3D engine is an important branch of virtual reality technology, which integrated together virtual reality technology, computer technology, image and graphics technology in such as high-tech areas. Virtual indoor roaming enables users in a virtual room to has an immersive experience by watching every corner of the room,with strong interaction and immersion.This paper is divided into seven parts, the first part is the introduction, mainly on the background and significance of this study and the virtual reality research’s status at home and abroad. The second part of this paper describes the use of several software, focusing on the knowledge attached to Unity3D game engine, with its characteristics, advantages, and its own resources included. The third part introduces some basic techniques about Virtual Tour, including two Widget of NGUI and iTween, Collision Detection and scene rendering technique. The fourth part is focused on the design of virtual indoor roaming, including the development process, the operating system of Unity and interaction design. The fifth part describes collection and modeling of some data of virtual indoor roaming. The sixth part is about the integration of virtual indoor roaming, including the establishment of a scene, adding a small map and the final release. The last part is a summary and outlook.Virtual indoor roaming is developed by Unity 3D game engine and creates a house model and the furniture in it by modeling software 3DsMax. And it is based on Microsoft Visual Studio2010, whose language is C# to achieve some interactions between virtual indoor roaming.
