Electromagnetic suspension can suspend an object without contact using electromagnetic force. Because of the mechanical contactless, electromagnetic suspension has many advantages, such as no wear and no lubrication, which catches more and more people’s attention in recent years. According to the excitation source, electromagnetic suspension can be divided into two kinds as DC magnetic suspension and AC magnetic suspension. Because of the nonlinearity and low power factor, the AC suspension has little progress. The main idea of AC resonance magnetic suspension is through the power mosfet to control the output of the inverter to control the current through the electromagnet to achieve stable suspension and maintain resonance between the resonant capacitor and the electromagnet airgap inductance to gain a high power factor.Taking single electromagnet as the object of study, an electric-magnetic-force math model and its transform function is given. For the nonlinear characteristic of the system, linearization processing is taken around the sitting position to solve the math relationship between the frequency and amplitude of the invert output and the airgap which is the reaction airgap control plan. The AC resonant suspension experiment platform is built and the software and hardware of the control system are designed. The stable AC resonant suspension is achieved and the correctness of the control method is verified through a series of experiments to simulate the interference maglev trains in operation process may encounter.The theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of the eddy current influence on the suspension force is carried out. The effectiveness of the use of silicon steel sheets instead of solid iron core in the suppression to reduce the eddy current influence is analyzed by simulation using Ansoft.
