The Research And Application Of Enterprise Knowledge Base

With the development of information science and technology, the integration of the world economy and market, the knowledge economy era quietly arrived. In this knowledge economy era, knowledge has become the most important source of wealth. During the long-term of technological innovation, either the manufacturing enterprises or the high technology enterprises accumulated a lot of knowledge. Especially in recent years, the rapid development of internet technology and the continues communication between enterprises prompting companies to introduce more advanced technology and do the re-innovation, which result that lots of knowledge need to be collected, sorted, effectively managed and used.In this context, a manufacturing enterprise’s knowledge engineering project kicked off. Author worked and studied in this project for a period of eight months, mainly responsible for the development tasks and the system configuration tasks of the knowledge base module. Author deeply studied this relational database based knowledge base system, two kinds of extensible ways are proposed, design a prototype model of ontology knowledge base, maintain the relationships of knowledge properties and design a reasoning module. Design the semantic query expansion algorithm based on knowledge ontology. Author analyzed the building process, compared the maturity of technology and the similarity of software engineering, then a building method based on both METHONTOLOGY method and the procedure of the knowledge engineering project was proposed. Protege4.3 was used as the development tool, and OWL ontology description language was used as the description language. Author deeply analyzed and studied Jena reasoning machine, build custom reasoning rules, designed the query preprocessing algorithms and the semantic expansion algorithms, effectively improved the recall ratio.Finally, author developed an ontology enterprise knowledge base prototype system. By comparing the two kinds of enterprise knowledge base system, concluded that knowledge ontology can improve the searching results’recall ratio, and also result that knowledge ontology can be easier to expand and do the reasoning, which making ontology enterprise knowledge base system more able to meet user’s knowledge sharing requirement.
