In the field of industrial control, energy-saving problem of RTU system, wireless networking and optimization and the communication protocol’s unification are urgent need to be solved. How to combine the software and hardware technology to achieve high performance and low power consumption system becomes the primary indicator of the RTU system study.In the process of research, aimed at the Atmel chip companies ATSAM4L- EK, this paper analyses the main characteristic of the chip and micro power consumption mode. On the basis of a detailed research of embedded systems and the application of the micro-power consumption data collector, design and implement the micro-power data collector based on Cortex-M4. It reduces the system power consumption and implements the micro-power design greatly. Analysed the source code of Free RTOS’s architecture, it transplants the embedded operating system Free RTOS to Cortex-M4, and configures and tests the related configures to achieves the cross-platform operation of the system. On Free RTOS operating system, it configures the various modules of the system software, designed and implemented the Zig Bee networking of RTU system and communication protocol based on A11 specification implements the serial communication between system and PC or instruments.The experimental results show that the system can meet the requirements of power consumption in industrial and oil field automation. The system can achieve 1.5μA in micro power consumption mode, which can greatly save the energy consumption.Unified standard is in favor of the connect with related equipment, improve the field data acquisition and construction efficiency, and also convenient for interpretation of data collected...
