With the massive popularity of broadband and the rapid development of opticalfiber communication,3G,4G and5G technology, watching video online has becomea basic Internet application. More and more people are habituated to watch all kindsof videos from the internet, such as teleplay, film, variety show and animation.However, the video player which is most widely used is based on Flash plug-in bothin the domestic and overseas. Besides, according to incomplete statistics, the videousers from domestic reached350million at the end of2012. So the work of playertest become more and more important.In the past, in order to check all the test cases, the video player testers should useFiddler to substitute the player with a new version. On one hand, the test cases includetesting a lot of special videos, regression testing and compatibility testing. On theother hand, browser compatibility test of each operating system is a necessary anddifficult work. However, Fiddler and most testing tools cannot be used on IOS systemwhich is so popular, the old test cases and test methods cannot be used as well.Besides, the player version is updated so fast and staff mobility is so frequent result intesting work turns into a big project.In this paper, the author proposed an extremely efficient test system, which workswith player SVN repository, Product demand system and bug management system.By adding, editing and presenting web pages, the system can apply the latest versionplayer, can transport the parameters which are used in flash playing, can offer theJavaScript Interface which are needed in other modules and can check the newfunctions tests. With the consideration of the operation of the system, so much timeand work have been saved to release the new version with new features. What’s more,the system integrates test resource and test cases which make the player testing workto be more convenient and more reliable. This system accumulates the player testingexperience for other testers and makes the test work of player can be understood byall the other co-workers. Most important of all, the system guarantees that the newversion players can be released on time with high quality.
