Mobile Ad Hoc network is a kind of wireless network which can organize byself for specialpurpose,the routing design problem is the hot research spot in the field of wireless communications.With the continuous improvement of hardware technology and the unceasingly thorough of basicresearch, Ad Hoc network has been extended to civil fields gradually from military applications,such as disaster relief, meeting communication, field work. Therefore, how to further improve theefficiency of the Ad Hoc network becomes an urgent problem.In the Ad Hoc network protocol,AODV routing protocol is an on-demand distance vectorrouting protocol,because of its low cost and simple implement, it is the focus of research in the fieldof wireless Ad Hoc networks currently. This thesis will study the operation mechanism of theAODV routing protocol deeply, analysis the limitations existing at present, and the specificsolutions are given.The main work and research results are as follows:This thesis researchs the local routing repair scheme of the original AODV routing protocol atfirst,discusses the impact of local repairing efficiency maximum length,introduces several existingimproved schemes about AODV local routing repair, analyzes their characteristics and mainexisting problems, proposed a local path repairing algorithm basing on linking quality predictionand avoiding the unstable region which named AODV-LQP:before the path which quality ofcommunication is poor disconnects, early to start repairing path,avoiding to do routing repair in thedata transmission process, the node above the node that discovers linking quality problem starts therepairing work,avoiding the unstable region, and preventing the second repairing; in order to adaptto the dynamic changes of the topological structure of AODV network, this thesis designs routingoptimization algorithm based on the route of two hop(AODV-THRO),so that the path in thenetwork can maintain optimal state. The experimental results show that:in the light loadednetwork,the improved algorithm compared to the original algorithm can effectively reduce theaverage end-to-end delay, improve the packet delivery ratio, so as to achieve a stable networkquality of service.
