In recent years, with the rapid development of the Internet, the size of the network continues to expand. In order to ensure the quality of service in the large-scale networks, this paper designed and implemented a performance data rapid acquisition and efficient storage system based on SNMP protocol.The goal of this research includes collecting the numerous network performance data, processing and storing them under a large-scale network environment. So, the main works of this paper is as follows:(1) Described the function of network management system and network management protocol SNMP in detail, analyzed the performance data types and formats, combined with the performance data demands in the large-scale network environment, studied the network parallel technologies, and verified the feasibility of this project.(2) Designed a performance data acquisition and storage system based on SNMP protocol under the large-scale network, and implemented it using C language in each function module, including a) Task allocation and management module; b) Data sending and receiving module; c) Receive caching and storage module; d) Data compression module.(3) Tested the system and each module, focused on data acquisition module, storage module and compression module.Now there are a lot of network management systems in the industry, but less research on centralized network management system for large-scale network, this topic is to research the huge amounts data collection and storage technology in the centralized network management system and large-scale network environment, and has been implemented the system. So this paper has practical significance for performance data acquisition and storage in large-scale network.
