To solve the problems of communication system’s compatibility, J. Mitla proposed the idea of the digitized and software processing RF signal, as is called software defined radio technology, which was an effective solution. Software defined radio has broad prospects for development and commercial potential, and in such an environment the software defined radio platform discussed in this thesis emerged.In the project, the author has participated in the development of software control system, and is mainly in charge of the design and development of software control system. This system is to provide interface for users in software defined radio platform, and it can control and manage the platform. And this thesis is to conclude the job which has been done by the author. The article contains the contents below:1) Overview software defined radio platform, briefly states the software defined radio definition and characteristics firstly, and then introduces the hardware and software structure of the whole platform. Based on this, this thesis discusses the specific structure and the inter-process communications in the software control system, and explains the importance of it.2) Overall design of software control system, according to the structure of the software control system, firstly describes the design of driver module, and then the design of control module, at last describes the design of PC module in overall design and process design aspects.3) Implement of software control system, according to the content design, describes the implementation on the driver module, the control module and the PC module in sub-module. At the end of the fourth chapter, it verified the function of this software control system.The software control system described in this thesis has been applied to a company’s software defined radio platform. So far, the system has passed the performance testing about interface and functional module and can stably work in software radio platform.
